Dave Edmunds and Nick Lowe formed the backbone of the band Rockpile. They were both signed to different record labels which made it difficult to get them to appear officially together on the same album. This album appeared simultaneously with Lowe's "Labour of Lust" but both are essentially Rockpile albums.
This album made it into the U.K. and Billboard album charts and contains the hit "Girls Talk" as well as the song "Queen of Hearts" which Juice Newton later recorded using Edmunds' original arrangement.
Allmusic gave it 4.5 out of 5 stars:
