The Dickies rose out of the L.A. punk scene in the late 70's, but their style was really more punk-pop and had a major influence on later bands such as Green Day.

The title track on this E.P. was the theme track from the movie of the same name. "Booby Trap" is a catchy tune that fits in well with the current vampire fad (and even includes a few words from Bela Lugosi). "Eep Opp Ork (uh Huh)" is a cover of a rockabilly tune that originally appeared in the Jetsons.

From Allmusic:
Quote:

In contrast to the snotty, intentionally offensive humor of many comedically inclined punk bands, the Dickies were winningly goofy, inspired mostly by trashy movies and other pop culture camp. Their covers were just as ridiculous as their originals, transforming arena rock anthems and bubblegum pop chestnuts alike into the loud, speed-blur punk-pop -- basically the Ramones crossed with L.A. hardcore -- that was their musical stock in trade.
