Hey everyone. Do we want to try to plan a Christmas in July theme day? I know I keep stumbling into songs that are holiday based, though there are only a handful of actual holiday albums on the site.

It's just a thought; it would probably take some searching to see if there would be enough music to keep the theme going.

I'd be game... just pick the time and date and let the rest of us know. Smile

Not a whole lot of Christmas music in the playlist, but we have a whole month to dig Smile. Could assemble a playlist in this thread with links to albums, noting which tracks are Christmas-ish.

Here are the ones which appear (based on a 'Christmas' search):

Very Special Christmas, A

Trouble In Paradise

Scrooged

Best Of Kurtis Blow, The

Christmas Time

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

This Is Spinal Tap

Too Low For Zero

Do They Know It's Christmas?

Music From The Edge Of Heaven

Great White North

Slugcology 101: A Decade Of Doug And The Slugs

Primitive

Note: Scrooged and A Very Special Christmas each have more than one song to be requested. As for the song titles, well, it's obvious... Wink

A few less obvious ones without "christmas" in album or track names.

Gold
11 - Mary's Boy Child/Oh My Lord

The Nylon Curtain
05 - She's Right On Time

Learning To Crawl
10 - 2000 Miles

The Ultimate Collection (The Pogues)
05 - Fairytale Of Old New York

Heart Skips Beat
03 - Stop The Cavalry

Looney Tunes
05 - Dingo Bells

Ok, started surfing the web for Christmas music from the 80s and discovered this album. Never heard of it before ... I like it!

That was fun. Glad we were able to sneak in some Christmas music before July was over. Smile

Now we'll just have to think up some other themes.
