Has anyone else been having trouble with the 1980s.fm stream on Live365? For the last couple of weeks it has been playing some kind of generic soft rock oldies (the stuff I am trying to get away from when I listen here... Rolling Eyes ) instead of the correct stream - like the links got mixed up with another station or something, even though the visuals are correct. Live365 is the only link that works through our firewall at work - I really, really miss 1980s.fm - sigh Sad

I can confirm the error. My guess is that when the site went down, the Live365 link was messed up somehow. Hopefully it is fixed soon...

In the meantime, if you have a smart phone, you can use the free 24Seven Player App on the left (just click on the little yellow-green guy on the left-hand side of the screen from your smart phone). I've confirmed that this still works just fine... Wink

Thanks Ferris for the useful tip (as always!!). Unfortunately, my phone isn't so smart (maybe it's about time I broke down and finally got one). Until then I will just have to wait it out...

Sorry mariel, for not noticing this thread sooner. I've reported the problem.

Yea... sorry mariel, it doesn't look like the Live365 stream will be available much longer.

If you aren't ready for a phone upgrade, you might want to talk to the IT guy at your work. Perhaps he will allow or create an exception in the firewall, so you can use one of the other streams. You might explain that you've always had the ability to listen at work, so now you just need to be able to access an alternate stream. Ask him to add this link to the exceptions allowed by the firewall:

http://hi5.1980s.fm

Hope this helps, and good luck! Wink

EDIT: Added hi-def stream link for 1980s.fm.
